Privacy Policy

The short version

Your files never leave your device. PictureConvert processes supported files locally in your browser. We use aggregated website analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful, but we do not receive or store the images you process.

1. Image processing

PictureConvert tools convert, compress, and edit images using your browser (for example Canvas APIs and client-side libraries). Supported image files you select are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to PictureConvert for conversion, and we do not store copies of those images on our servers.

• Local processing: Image bytes stay on your computer or phone during the tool workflow.
• No image upload to PictureConvert: The conversion pipeline does not send your source or output images to our application servers.
• Downloads: Results are saved through your browser to a location you choose.

2. Website analytics

We use Google Analytics (when enabled via our site configuration) to understand aggregated site usage — for example which pages and tools are visited, and basic technical event signals used to improve the product.

Analytics events are about site usage. They are not used to receive or store the image files you process. Local development traffic is configured not to load analytics.

3. Cookies and similar storage

The site may use cookies or local browser storage for:

• Preferences: Theme preference (light/dark/system) via next-themes, typically stored in your browser.
• Analytics: Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar identifiers according to Google's product behaviour when analytics is active.

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser. Image tools will still run locally; some preference or analytics features may be limited.

4. Hosting and technical logs

The website is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel may process standard request metadata (for example IP address, user agent, and URLs requested) in server logs for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. That is separate from local image processing in your browser.

5. Advertising

PictureConvert may be supported by advertising over time. If ads are shown, they may use their own cookies or identifiers under the advertiser's policies.

We do not use advertising networks to upload or process your image files.

Services we use

Providers that help operate the website (not your image conversion pipeline):

• Vercel: Hosting and delivery of the website.
• Google Analytics: Aggregated usage analytics when enabled.

6. Data retention

Because PictureConvert does not receive your source image files for processing, we cannot retain, sell, or recover those images from our servers. Closing the tab clears in-browser working state unless you downloaded a result.

Analytics and hosting logs follow the retention settings of those providers.

7. Your controls

• Use the tools without creating an account.
• Block or clear cookies and site data in your browser.
• Use EXIF Viewer and Remove EXIF before sharing photos that may contain location or camera metadata.
• Review Google's tools and browser settings if you want to limit analytics cookies.
